Get lost 'File Manager' path

on 21-Nov-2009 | Comments ( 2 ) Tags: Evolution

I always find myself forgeting to save the "File Manager" path found in Tools/Configuration/File Manager/File Manager/File Manager path.

File Manager path

To find it go to Reports/System Info, look up phpInfo() and click on View.

Now look for _SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"]. Use the value in the right as your "File Manager" path.

You should also update the "File base" path found in Tools/Configuration/Interface & Features.

It would be great if you could continue this entry and list where can be found the correct data for:

File Base Path
File Browser URL
Path to CSS File

and how settings for mirrored sites differ from these!

Thank you!

Hi Higgins,

The File base path is the File Manager with "/assets" appended.

I'm not sure what you mean by File Browser URL and
Path to CSS File.
In my opinion the path to the css file is different for everyone. With modx you can place it anywhere you want.

If you have a setup with a mirrored site I would suggest you make your paths relative.

instead of using you should use assets/site.css.
